A private note, just for you

Cheryl — here's how to earn more from every copy

You already earn your author royalty on every sale, anywhere. These few steps stack extra income on top — and they're free.

Right now, when someone buys Forgotten Souls from any store, you earn your royalty (about $3 a copy). The buy links on your site currently pass the small affiliate commission to your publisher, not to you. Here's how to keep it — and it takes about five minutes.

Best — pays you 10%

1. Become a Bookshop.org affiliate

Bookshop.org pays authors 10% of every sale from your own link (up to 15% if you qualify) — that's roughly $3 more per book, on top of your royalty. It also supports independent bookstores, which fits your work beautifully.

  1. Open the sign-up page below and create a free affiliate account.
  2. It goes through a quick verification (they'll email you).
  3. You'll get an affiliate ID — send it to us and we wire it into your site.

2. Join Amazon Associates

Amazon pays about 4.5% on books (~$1.35 a copy). Smaller than Bookshop, but worth it since many readers still buy on Amazon.

  1. Sign up (you'll enter your website and payout info).
  2. You'll get an Associate tag (looks like yourname-20) — send it to us.

3. Sell signed copies (already on your site)

You can buy your own copies from the publisher at roughly half price (~$15 on a $30 book) and sell them signed at full price — keeping about $15 a copy, five times a royalty. The "Signed copies available — contact Cheryl" line is already live on your site and routes to your email.

That's it — send us two things

Once you have your Bookshop affiliate ID and/or your Amazon Associate tag, reply to Ricky and we'll wire them into your site in about 30 seconds. From then on, every sale your site drives pays you the extra commission — automatically.
